The latest update suggests that Amazon has removed their description of Starfield that mentioned pre-loads for August 9. This comes as a confusing turn of events after the mentioned date sparked excitement among the community.
The Amazon page selling Xbox Series S and Starfield Standard Edition bundles had caught the attention of fans. In the features and details section of the product, it was revealed that the pre-load date for the game is August 9th. The marketing strategy for Starfield has been commendable to date. Bethesda and Microsoft have together assured phenomenal branding for the upcoming giant. The frequent glimpses and details of the gameplay even after releasing a 45-minute-long gameplay have kept the fans on edge. Thus few Xbox fans feel this Amazon fiasco is a part of the marketing strategy.
Although, considering the pattern of Xbox exclusive releases, this seems like a vague guess. A lot of the gamers also felt August 9 would have been quite an early date for pre-load. According to these fans, it would have affected the hype of the game till September. Well, it seems like the developers did agree with the fans’ perspective.
