Starfield by Bethesda is quickly growing to be the most hype space-themed game released this decade. With the game’s main focus on space exploration, players can expect a journey through the voids unlike ever before. In this game, players have the option to build their own ship and customize it to their liking. This has led to some interesting ship designs in the game.
On the 8th of September, the world celebrated Star Trek Day. In honor of the space-themed series and movies, one gamer posted a few pictures of StarTrek-inspired ships on Reddit. This post was noticed by Bethesda and was reshared by Starfield’s Twitter page.

On the morning of September 9, the devs at Bethesda spotted and shared a few ship designs made by a player. The ships were designed as iconic ships from the Star Trek series. While the original post was made on Reddit, the devs took to Twitter to give the shout-out.

Players get to experience the complex ship-building capabilities in Starfield, giving them many options for strategizing and customizing their ships. Taking advantage of this feature was a Redditor that goes by the name GrungeCowboy73. This user received a shout-out for recreating three iconic ships from the Star Trek universe. The Redditor posted 3 pictures of different ships. The first ship that was recreated was the Klingon Bird of Prey followed by U.C.S. Voyager and finally the U.C.S. Enterprise.

Although the posts got traction on Reddit, they gained their true popularity after the shoutout by Bethesda on their Twitter page. The original poster goes on to add that they would be happy to make a guide for the ship builds in case fans would like to recreate the spacecraft for their playthrough.
Fans are in awe of the player’s shipbuilding skills
Many fans were excited to see the StarTrek-themed spaceships in Starfield. While some praised the shipbuilder for their skills, others went on to compare the ships to their own. Some of them also went ahead to call their ship a “sleek brick”. The Starfield team noticed this comment and reassured the fan that their ship, playfully referred to as the “USC Brick,” looked sturdy.

The post also caught the attention of the Xbox Game Pass team on Twitter. Their hilarious comment to the thread left the fans in splits.

One user went on to show a ship build made by another player. This time the ship design was inspired by the Enterprise NX-01. The comment was accompanied by some breathtaking visuals of the ship flying across space.
