Starfield is undoubtedly Bethesda’s most ambitious project so far. With over 7 years into the development, the studio successfully released one of the most anticipated games of the year. While the devs did everything in their power to pack the game with exciting content, some players started spotting out ways the game could have been improved.

The main storyline of Starfield reportedly takes approximately 19 hours to complete, with additional content providing around 186 hours for dedicated completionists. Despite the extensive content Bethesda has incorporated, some players feel that the game is still lacking something. To voice their perspective on this missed opportunity in Starfield, one player turned to Reddit to share their thoughts.

In the post, the player tackled a common concern among the community, which was the lack of vehicles on planets. However, the user went on to say that a more significant missed opportunity lies in the game’s lack of a “space radio” feature. Further, the player continued to express their excitement about the prospect of having a space-themed radio integrated into the gaming experience. Particularly during activities such as mining.

The player mentioned how they would like to be able to tune in to SSNN (Settled Systems News Network) broadcasts, receive updates about their in-game achievements, listen to space-related advertisements. The user even stated how they sing along to music while engaging in activities like “space trucking.” And they go as far as to speak about how they find themselves singing “Uranium Fever” whenever they stumble upon uranium in the game.

Everyone says Bethesda missed the mark with no vehicles on planets, but I think the real missed opportunity was no space radio

With 11K upvotes, the original poster goes on to add an edit to the post. The player addressed the argument about how space radio between systems would be hard. And went on to say, “However, the way I see it, all the Settled Systems would have a way to boost the broadcast. To make it more interesting, I think a great way to get it to the outer rim would be a quest from space Three Dog or SSNN to put up more satellites and towers to spread the signal.”

The original poster goes on to mention all the ideas for the radio stations that other users were posting and mentioned they would like to see stations like Freestar Radio, UC Radio and OLD EARTH RADIO. They also added,” Sneak in some Guardian of the Galaxy classics.”

In game radio certainly sounds like a great idea. Especially with so much time to invest. And it wouldn’t be the first time for a game to have a radio. One of the more popular aspects of GTA games is the radio stations available when driving around.

The sound of the Space Radio echoed in the community

Many fans of Bethesda flooded to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One went on to speak about the music in Fallout 4 and described what they would want from the game. The user stated, “I would love to listen to a conspiracy-based space looney on a meteor in the depths of space with some sort of space minivan talking about crazy sightings and corporate secrets.
