Since the release of the detailed footage of Starfield at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023, fans cannot get over the beautiful gameplay and the storyline of the game. Set in an RPG universe, Starfield offers vast landscapes for players to experience realistic outer space as a part of their gameplay.
Starfield has brought a lot of anticipation among fans. The head of the Xbox Game Studio, Matt Booty has claimed that it is going to be an almost error-free game in RPG setup. Considering the detailed gameplay, fans are already in anticipation of the exciting outer space horror elements in Starfield.
Fans anticipating horror elements in Starfield

The speculation of exciting horror elements in Starfield started looking back at the tradition of Bethesda games to offer creepy locations for the gamers for game quests. Many content creators and video game critics took to Reddit to express their anticipation regarding the horror elements in the game-“Pretty much as the title suggests, I really hope there are horror elements to Starfield. As beautiful and interesting as Space Is there are equally terrifying aspects to it. When gamifying these things we could really see some spooky stuff. I just hope we get some moments and some exploration that gives you goosebumps or makes the hair on your neck stand up.”
There were numerous comments from other fans who seemed pretty excited about the horror elements of the game “If they are indeed going for realism, And there is alien life present in the game, There at least needs to be a sense of fear of the unknown. I’d like a horror present too.”

Fans seemed pretty convinced about the developers incorporating spooky locations and other elements from cosmic horror. Since the gameplay displays outer space many of the players seemed excited in anticipating elements of Lovecraftian aesthetics in the game– “BGS Always do things like that, I’m Sure the game will contain some ‘spooky’ Locations. Lovecraftian things would be perfect too imho.”
Despite the majority of the gamers liking and anticipating horror elements, many seemed to disapprove of the addition of horror elements in Starfield- “If they mean like in a quest or two, Or like a little sidequest line, I’d be down. If they mean they want horror elements always present, then I’m with you. Not a big fan of horror games, personally.”

Amid all the speculation and rumors, Starfield is going to be one of the major productions in RPG setup offering an exciting gaming experience for the players. To know whether the horror elements are finally given priority in the game, We have to wait till its release this September.
