The Star Wars franchise’s popularity is beyond anyone’s question. The previous games developed under the main title seemed to receive much positive feedback from gamers. Recently one Star Wars fan announced an interesting detail about the game on his Twitter account. He confirmed that in the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws, players will be offered huge planets to explore.

In an interview with EDGE magazine, Julian Gerighty, the creative director of the developers’ team spoke about the huge planet size in their upcoming project, which will offer the feel of traversing the area even if the players use ships with higher speed. He added that these planets in Star Wars Outlaws might be equal to two to three zones in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey individually. He also added how the team handcrafted these planets with details.

Julian Gerighty confirmed that in Star Wars Outlaws players will experience full freedom in their approach to encounters. A reputation system will help in locking areas, quests and vendor prices. However, he added that if players do not follow the faction’s good side, they might be chased by people and receive monetary punishments.

In this new Star Wars, players can’t access total free rein while traveling, which means no more flying freely over any planet and also designated spaces for jet take-offs with landing purposes. The game will also feature an alien companion Nix, who players can use for attacking enemies, picking heavy weapons, and other in-game tasks.

Gerighty’s statements confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws will bring massive planets with handcrafted details. No procedurally generated planets will be offered in the upcoming title. Protagonist Vass’s spaceships will be influenced by simple toys from the 1970s. Following this game’s timeline between Empire and Jedi, developers will use more 70s elements in the game.
