Recently, games have become much more than just a casual time-pass. For some, it has become a means of earning money and for others, a way of life. The hardcore fans take the games like Apex Legends, Minecraft, Fortnite, and more, a little too seriously. Which in terms results in toxic behaviors and bad receptions towards the people behind the game’s studios.

A great example of this behavior would be the renowned game Developer Respawn, who is well known for games like Apex Legends and Titanfall. Their games have a huge player base to cater to, which makes it impossible for them to please every one of them. But a few of the unsatisfied players sometimes forget their boundaries and do something despicable.
What happened when Apex Legends Devs received threats from fans?
On their official Twitter account, the Game publishing studio Respawn posted a long tweet regarding their ongoing harassment from the fans. They said, “Recently, we have seen increased harassment towards members of our development team.”

“We want to remind our players that we have a zero tolerance policy for threats and the harassment of our developers”, added the Game Publishers, implying that if this harassment keeps going, they won’t shy away from taking necessary steps against the player who crossed the line.
The tweet ended with a good saying, “love hearing feedback and will continue to work alongside our community to foster a respectful, collaborative environment, and uphold the competitive integrity of our game.” Respawn is always open to criticism and they care about their fan’s opinions. So even after all this, they are hoping to continue to uphold a good relationship with their player base.

How did T-Pain and the fans react to this?
The American Rapper T-Pain soon caught wind of this situation. He is well known in the community as an Apex Legends player. So it was obvious that he would come to the rescue of the Devs of his favorite game. On September 25, he posted a tweet replying to Respawn’s announcement.
He said, “Bro y’all have to fu**ing chill out. It’s a fu**ing game my dude,” scolding the fans who went this far. He said it’s just a game. If one doesn’t like it, one can just put down the controller or play something else. There is no reason for anyone to go out of the boundaries and do something so heinous.
Bro y’all have to fucking chill out. It’s a fucking game my dude. Play something else if you hate it so much bro. Walk away from your pc/console if you’ve become so consumed by a game that you feel the need to threaten the ppl that work hard to make it. Chill bro pic.twitter.com/8W8uTlPT1E

The fans also supported the rapper’s words. They thanked him for being so vocal about the issue and helping the Devs in their time of need. This toxicity must end!
