Since the PlayStation Showcase 2023, however, Insomniac Games have regularly given the fans tidbits about their upcoming title.

This tactic from the developer has rejuvenated the interest of the fans in the title, with some calling it a Game of the Year contender. However, looks like Insomniac Games has switched up its promotional tactics. Their latest tweet has left the fans puzzled over the meaning of it.

Spider-Man 2 makers share a cryptic tweet online

In their latest tweet, Insomniac Games just sent out an emoji that represents a cooking frying pan with an egg being fried in it. This emoji is commonly used to symbolize cooking, breakfast, or eggs in various contexts. The cryptic tweet from the devs has since caught the eye of the fans, with over 539,000 people watching it.

Furthermore, the developers have used this terminology in the past too. In the past, they used the term, “we’re in the kitchen,” to tell the fans about the ongoing development of the title. Due to this, the fans have started to speculate that Insomniac Games was pointing towards ‘cooking’ something for Spider-Man 2.

Furthermore, when a fan started to ask what the emoji meant, Insomniac Games gave yet another cryptic reply. “It’s a reminder,” they said, cheekily. Putting two and two together, however, multiple fans have now gained a firm belief this emoji conveyed the earlier analogy of ‘cooking’ Spider-Man 2.

The developers have directly confirmed the speculations of fans, by retweeting some comments made by the fans. This method of cryptic tweets, however, has spiked the interest of fans in the upcoming Spider-Man game.

With their retweets, Insomniac Games brought the attention of the fans. Furthermore, many fans now speculate that Spider-Man 2 is ready to be served.

Furthermore, multiple fans started to share their positive reactions to the upcoming Spider-Man title.

While Spider-Man 2 devs have captured the interest of the fans, there is still a bit of time for the title’s release. However, keeping fans interested in their title in the middle of many heavy-hitter releases will be a difficult assignment for them.
