Hideo Kojima is one of the most influential game directors in gaming. The guy has been making weird games for years now, and people have been consistently loving his quirky and weird ideas. This has led us to games like Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid.

And for all the above reasons, when Hideo Kojima decides to give something his stamp of approval, people tend to take it seriously. And he has done it once again with a newly released movie.

Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse launched recently and is creating all kinds of buzz. The movie might be among the best superhero movies out there. It takes Miles Morales on a journey through the multiverse, where he encounters numerous types of Spider-Men.

The movie is a direct sequel to Into the Spiderverse, which launched a while ago. The original, no doubt, was successful enough to justify a sequel such as this. And it’s unsurprising that fans have been huddling around theatres to watch this movie.

Among those fans was none other than legendary video game creator Hideo Kojima. For fans who are unaware, Kojima is an avid movie lover. His love for movies and his inspirations are pretty clear in the games that he makes. From his character being called Snake after Kurt Russell’s Snake in Escape from New York to him casting massive film stars as primary characters in his games.

And that’s why it’s not surprising he went to the theatre to watch this sensational superhero flick. After that, he took his time to post a lengthy Tweet explaining why this movie is indeed one of the best.

He specifically mentioned “Have you seen “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”? Like the previous work, the visual expression and the multiverse depiction of Spider-Man’s loneliness and fate were wonderful. Anime, MANGA, American comics, CG, games, live-action movies, stop-motion, LEGO, street art, watercolor paintings, and oil paintings.”

And no doubt, the visual palette of this movie is something that every visual artist would drool over. This movie looks, unlike anything that has been released previously, barring its own prequel. The good news is that there will be another sequel to it pretty soon, given the fact that this one was made in two parts.
