Sony’s PlayStation State of Play Event is expected for next month

Sony is reportedly planning an upcoming State of Play event that will seemingly focus on games arriving on the PlayStation 5 later this year. If one has to guess, there could be a bunch of footage from the upcoming, already-announced titles.

Resident Evil 4, which is slated to launch in March, is rumored to receive a major update at this event. Capcom has focused on PlayStation more than anything else when it comes to their survival horror remakes. And this time, too, we do not see any exceptions occurring.

Fans may also finally witness what the Silent Hill 2 Remake will look like. Every single fan of this cult classic knows that this game holds a legacy on the PlayStation. So it makes sense that it ends up being a console exclusive for PS5.

The final and biggest game most of the fans will expect to see in the rumored State of Play is Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2. This game is expected to be even darker than the original title from 2018. Other than the usual suspects, there are some titles that may receive an announcement.

PSVR 2 might also be part of this showcase

One must also not forget that Sony’s next-generation virtual reality headset will be launched next month. And it won’t be surprising at all if the company ends up showing more of it during the State of Play.

Those interested in VR titles will be expecting to see a bunch of new PSVR2-based announcements as well. And yes, how can one forget the highly publicized PSVR2 version of Beat Saber?
