Sony has the market covered with its PlayStation line-up that mostly manages to be among the top-selling consoles across the globe. PlayStation 5 is one of the most popular devices out there and fans like it a lot. However, consoles aren’t the only segment where Sony is focusing at the moment.
In case anyone missed it, Sony has gradually shifted its focus from PlayStation to other devices as well where it sees a growing opportunity. For example, in the last two years, it has offered some of the most iconic PS exclusives on the PC platform. To name a few, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and recently God of War, are all available for PC players.

Keeping that in mind, the company just unveiled its whole new line-up of gaming brand, InZone. It’s aimed solely at those users who do a lot of PC gaming. However, not everyone seems to be liking this latest announcement.
PlayStation fans are not interested in Sony’s InZone PC gaming products
Sony has come up with its InZone series of monitors and headsets. Under this, they have different variants, depending on specs and prices. Moreover, they are designed to take full advantage of the PS5 as well.
Firstly, there is the M9, the flagship product in the newest line-up, costing around $899. The 27-inch 4K IPS gaming monitor is made while keeping in mind the design aesthetics of the PlayStation 5. Although it boasts of various desired features, the monitor is not OLED. It has a 144Hz of refresh rate, response time of 1ms, VRR (variable refresh rate), DisplayHDR 600, DisplayPort, and HDMI 2.1 ports.
Then there’s the less expensive version as well, with the $529 M3 monitor. It cuts down on certain features to keep the price under the limits. Compared to M9, it has a 1080p display while the HDR has been decreased to 400 nits of peak brightness. The only thing that gets a bump here is the refresh rate, which is 240Hz, compared to the M9’s 144 Hz display.
As soon as the news was revealed on social media, fans wasted no time in dropping their reactions.

It looks like not many of the PlayStation lovers are up for the InZone products. That’s because they believe it’s very costly and even at the price of $529 for the cheaper version of the monitor, the specs aren’t promising enough at all.

Simply put, the fans think that Sony has made a serious mistake by deciding to make PC gaming products. One angry and disappointed user wrote:
“This is going to backfire big time, one there are a lot of hardware makers out that have superior products.”
This is going to backfire big time, one there are a lot of hardware makers out that have superior products. Sony doesn't make the best displays, doesn't make the best headphones, doesn't make the best of anything and people just won't buy marked up hardware and go straight to sou

At that price ?? Thats a no no.. sounds more like another viao attempt from Sony. In an already competitive PC hardware market

Should be more focus on getting more PS5 in homes rather than PC because there’s way more PC brands that can do that and that will leave Sony thinking “Alright, maybe that wasn’t a good move on our part”
