The PlayStation 5 has just witnessed a beta update. It brings some interesting features to make the gaming experience even more fantastic. The newest software beta has finally added the support for 1440p video output. But there’s more as well for the fans to celebrate.
PlayStation 5 beta update introduces 1440p support with ‘Gamelists’ folder feature
If there has to be a headline feature coming up soon for the users of the latest console from Sony, it’s got to be the support for 1440p HDMI video output. Basically, it enables the players, with compatible TVs and monitors, to select an extra visual setting when playing any supported titles.
Talking about another fresh feature, then it’s the ‘Gamelists’. Simply put, they are just folders, designed to make the arrangement of one’s video game library even more sorted. In a way, one can easily find and keep their titles in the library. Under the ‘Your Collection’ tab, PlayStation users can select the option to ‘Create Gamelist’.

Players can make up to 15 named lists and up to 100 titles can be included in each list. They can put disc, digital, and streaming games in their created lists.

Speaking of additional features, then the PlayStation 5 software beta also offers the option to test out 3D audio and stereo audio on the same screen before choosing one’s preferred setting.
When it comes to social features, players can now request that the party members begin ‘Share Screen’ to watch their gameplay. The notifications that will pop up will directly enable the users to join.

Talking about more options, then the fans can now send stickers and even voice messages to their groups. The beta access for the latest PS5 software is only available for select owners right now. The US, Canada, Japan, UK, Germany and France, are the available countries as of this writing.
