Sony might be coming up with a new PlayStation soon. At least that’s what the latest reports indicate. But it’s not the PS6, but a more enhanced version of the current-gen console, the PlayStation 5 Pro.
While a lot of people may have thought since the PS5 is pretty powerful as it is, the next console from Sony would be PS6, however, they would be wrong.

Is there a PlayStation 5 Pro for real?
There have been several instances where it’s been mentioned that Sony is reportedly shipping international units of its gaming consoles. And as per the speculations, it’s the PlayStation 5 Pro.
YouTuber Usman, on his channel SKizzleAXE, covered this story recently in one of his videos.
As per SKizzleAXE, various outlets like Techradar, have mentioned this news of PS5 Pro prototypes. Going by the website’s coverage, there were some import records showing that Sony Interactive Entertainment sent thousands of boxes to the US in the last few months.
Most of these shipments were for the Korean and Japanese regions. Also, another listing mentioned that Sony exported a box that had the label reading “video game console [sic] (prototype).” It was from the United Kingdom to the United States, dating back to November 2021.
Well, if, in any case, these reports are true, then fans of the PlayStation will surely get delighted. Because these prototypes may contain the very-very early models of Sony’s next-gen hardware device, according to Techradar.

Moreover, the recent report also mentioned that the rumored PlayStation 5 Pro shipment is marked with the HS code of 981700. Generally, this kind of method is used for international exporting systems. It’s done for the purpose of identifying shipments that contain the parts of gaming-related products.
Hopefully, Sony will also come out with an official word soon on what it’s actually doing with the PlayStation series of consoles with regard to the future.
