Marvel’s Spider-Man launched for PlayStation 4 in 2018, and it was an incredible game. Its visuals were on par with some of the best-looking games of that generation. As it was understandably a success, the developers Insomniac Games and Sony decided to follow it up with Miles Morales, a standalone DLC.

This DLC launched for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and the next-gen version of this game really stood out. It looked just too good, even with its ray tracing off. The best part was that if fans bought a physical ultimate edition of Miles Morales, they got access to Spider-Man Remastered. This was the original game but with numerous visual upgrades.

Fair to say, fans were blown away by that remaster. However, the only thing that bugged them was that Miles Morales Ultimate Edition was the only way fans could get their hands on that remaster. That has been the case for a very long time now. But it looks like Sony decided to change that in anticipation of the upcoming sequel. Spider-Man Remastered is finally available to purchase separately on the PlayStation Store.

It only took three long years for this to happen, but it has happened. Fans can now purchase Spider-Man Remastered separately without having to buy Miles Morales. It is available for $49.99, and if one already owns the PlayStation 4 version, they can buy an upgrade for just $10.

Everyone is seeing this step as Sony’s way to hype people up even more for Spider-Man 2. The game, on the other hand, has no shortage of hype surrounding it. The actors working on it praise it; the rumors suggest it’s one of the best-looking games ever made; and more about its story is just too baffling. While all these teases only make one restless, it is only a matter of time before the fans can finally enjoy one of the most anticipated games of the year.
