Exclusives have become taboo nowadays. The whole idea of Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard is hated because of their intent to make some games exclusives. Sony and Nintendo are said to be different in some ways. They make their own games; they have spent time building quality games for their PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch consoles.

But Sony is also known for being pretty aggressive with exclusives when it comes to a few Japanese developers. Square Enix, Capcom, Namco, and Konami have had some sort of exclusivity deal with Sony at some point in time. And it appears this will only increase!

Sony is reportedly making deals for more exclusives for PlayStation 5!

Last year, when Konami showed off a bunch of Silent Hill content to its fans, they announced the Silent Hill 2 remake. The game is currently in development at Bloober Team, yet it has already been confirmed that it will be a console exclusive to the PlayStation 5.

Moreover, if Jez Corden is to be believed, Sony has signed a similar deal with Konami for some more big titles. The biggest of them is Metal Gear Solid 3, a much-talked-about stealth action game.

That spat between Konami and legendary game director Hideo Kojima is not forgotten by many. And fans thought it was the end of good Konami titles. Konami proved this wrong with the above-mentioned Silent Hill showcase. But it appears they have some more aces up their sleeve. One of them is the latest game in the Castlevania series.

All these games would be platform exclusive to the PlayStation 5. Metal Gear Solid 3 might not even be very far from announcement now; it is expected that the game will show up during the upcoming PS5 showcase. The same goes for Silent Hill too as many expect to see its gameplay then.

One thing that comes as a curious surprise is the Castlevania game. This series has not received a new game in years. Konami did compile a collection out of some hit classic games, but that was all. The last mainline game in this series was Castlevania: Lord of Shadows 2, developed by MercurySteam.
