Guerilla Games’ Horizon Forbidden West comes in five different editions. Unfortunately for PlayStation owners, only three of the five will be compatible with both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
The developers announced the title’s launch date during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live last week. The game comes out on February 18, 2022, and pre-orders are now available for different versions of the game across all regions.

Sony dropped a video of the pre-order announcement earlier today giving fans a look at Aloy’s progression in the game.
First and foremost, if you wish to play both PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, it is suggested that you go for high-end versions. Only three of the editions: Digital Deluxe, Collector’s, or Regalla offer support across both consoles. Whereas, Dual Entitlement will not apply to the Standard and Special versions.
On a side note, it looks like the developers were feeling generous. Players can redeem the Nora Legacy Outfit and Spear to use in the game if they choose to pre-order any of the five.
