Sega is on an incredible run as they have been releasing excellent games one after the other. Their most recent title, Like a Dragon: Ishin, was launched on almost all platforms to positive reviews. On the other hand, they have been earning much praise for their handling of the blue blur Sonic the Hedgehog.
And it looks like Sega does not have any intention of stopping just yet. They might be warming up one more addition to their long-running Sonic series, but it is not as straightforward as one might think.

Classic video game compilations are not a new thing. Fans are often treated by publishers and developers with compilations of the best classic games released long ago.
Those compilations are accompanied by a bunch of modern features added to those classic games, widescreens, color filters, and all sorts of bells and whistles.
Keeping in line with this trend, Gonintendo claims Sega might be planning one more compilation in its series. This collection would be called Sonic Origins Plus and it would consist of all 12 Game Gear Sonic games and playable Amy.

This would also be available as an add-on for all Sonic Origins owners for a price of $9.99. And if fans decide to go with the complete package, they would have to shed $39.99. The price would remain the same for both physical and digital releases. But it appears physical owners would get a bunch of extras.
