It is not a secret that the Head cannon is one of the best Sonic developers in recent times. After all, they were involved with the Sonic Origins collection that recently got its remastered version. To mention titles, the latest Sonic Origins bundle includes Sonic The Hedgehog 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles and Sonic CD.
Fans anticipated the release of this version as they wanted to try their hand at some classic Sonic Games. Looking at this, the franchise released them on June 23, 2022, giving fans a vintage taste. Fans highly appreciated the game’s release as they posted positive reviews. But that wasn’t the case for the developers, as they were unhappy with the way their game looked.

Sonic Origins Developers are sad as they don’t like the state in which their game is in!
Even after getting a positive review from fans, sonic co-developer, Headcannon seemed unhappy with the game’s current condition.
It all started a week back when social media and forums published videos showing multiple bugs, glitches, and general messiness. There was negative feedback regarding micro-transactions (These can lock some pretty weird stuff behind a paid wall) that one could see in their reviews.

A common statement, saying ‘new game has bugs’ rolled out in public, directly affecting the game’s developers. This implies that the Sonic games have previously suffered in the past, thanks to their neglect of the remastered versions. With that, they’ve once again landed in trouble with Sonic Origins.

Although, this time, things are different, as it has severely affected Sonic’s co-developer, Headcannon. They put out a statement saying, “This is frustrating. I won’t lie and say that there weren’t issues in what we gave to Sega, but what is in Origins is also not what we turned in. Integration introduced some wild bugs that conventional logic would have one believe were our responsibility- a lot of them aren’t.”
Apart from this, Headcannon also accepted sending a rushed product and neglecting its quality. Although, they believed that Sega ruined the game by adding bugs that weren’t present in the original build. Sadly, it affected them a lot as they had put in months of hard work to design this classic release.
