Maintaining a free-to-play live service game is a trick that very few developers are able to figure out. And it seems like Riot’s years working on League of Legends has paid off. And maybe that’s why Valorant players are mostly happy with their decisions.
Recently there were leaks suggesting that Valorant would be coming to consoles very soon. Players were both disappointed and excited. PC players playing Valorant for years were pretty disappointed. They asked Riot games to not put aim-assist in the console version. But some players looking for a chance to get into this game were very happy with these leaks.

Now comes the news of Valorant appearing on the Xbox store, but it is not available for purchase. Some say that this is not the console version but just the PC version that showed up on that store due to an upcoming promotion in December offering players a bunch of perks through Game Pass.
Game Pass owners playing Valorant might be getting free access to all the agents and XP boost. While others are guessing that this might be the much-discussed console version.
Xbox store appearance of Valorant caused variable responses from the Game’s fanbase
Valorant coming to consoles would give a lot of new players an opportunity to try it for the first time. There are always players that either only play on PC or only on consoles. And every developer tries to cater to the segment they find most suitable to their game at first. And given Riot’s history of releasing games specifically on PC, it made sense that Valorant came to PC before consoles.
However, the fans had mixed responses to this appearance of the game made on the Xbox store as they were now worried about the most inevitable part.
Valorant is now on the Xbox Store. This is for Valorant's Xbox Gamepass offer, which should be releasing this December or during this Winter season.

I’m not sure I understand the value of adding this to the Xbox store?
It shows on the link that it’s playable via PC, why do they feel it needs to be on Xbox as an app to just open your riot client and play the game?

Valorant now coming to consoles would add a huge new segment to the game’s player base. But PC players are worried that if console players got aim-assist it might ruin the game for those playing on PC. Players on consoles often get aim assist ability to compensate for the limited flexibility of analog sticks in first-person shooter games.
Valorant is a hero-based first-person shooter multiplayer game. Players participate in various types of 5v5 matches and they get an option to select from a number of available agents. The main focus of this game is the abilities that come with every agent. Every agent comes with their own set of abilities.
