Some say Elden Ring is a very hard game; some even stop playing it within the first couple of hours due to its difficulty. Now one must understand that Elden Ring is not the kind of game that limits a player’s abilities to make it harder for them to progress. This game is as easy or as hard as one is willing to put into it. But one aspect of the game that makes Elden Ring a lot easier is how you build your Dexterity.

Hence, it is recommended that players decide how they want to progress in this game from the get-go. And if someone decides to build themselves a Dexterity build, this article is specifically for them.

As with any build in this game, dexterity too has a class that focuses on just this, in order to make those goals easier to achieve as soon as one can. It is recommended that players select Samurai as their starting class if they want to go for the dexterity build.

This class balances stats fairly across the table, hence giving players a good head start for their upcoming goals. Now, in order to achieve what they wish with this build, players would need to hit the roof of these stats as soon as they can. Dexterity is not the stat that works on the middle ground; if one wants to slash through their enemies like a pro, they have to make sure they have 80 Dexterity.

Other than that, it is recommended they have 20 strengths and at least 60 Vigor. With these stats, players would be at the top of their scaling game when it comes to dexterity.

Weapons and affinities to root for a Dexterity Build in Elden Ring

Weapons and Affinities go hand in hand with games such as these; selecting a good weapon that scales with dexterity is one thing; making sure it does the right kind of elemental damage is something else altogether. A few extra points of elemental or magical damage to an enemy can be a matter of life and death sometimes.

Also, some affinities are very effective when it comes to staggering some massive enemies. Hence, it is recommended that players going for dexterity add either Keen or Lightning to their weapons. These affinities go well with this state type and would really help them in those huge and troubling fights.

For weapons, just grab any dagger katana or curved sword that scales well with dexterity; one weapon that’s very easy to get and becomes unstoppable with this stat is Bloodhound’s Fang.

Ashes of War is the key to success

There are numerous Ashes of War in this game that would work insanely well with a dexterity build. But the most recommended one is Thunderbolt. This Ash of War actually works so well with dexterity, and it has a very good range too. The best thing about this one is that players can chain cast it, and it also scales with dexterity.

If one manages to get their hands on this one, it’s good times galore; otherwise, they can also choose one of these: Spinning Slash, Unsheathe, Beast’s Roar, Square Off, and Lightning Ram.

Talisman, Tears, and Faith Stat for a Dexterity Build in Elden Ring

While the above setup would be enough for most players to just go in and obliterate any enemy giving them a hard time, the addition of some talismans and tears would take their power even higher.

Players get numerous talismans and tears throughout the game, and not many know that these stacks together to give their players a higher damage output.

Thorny Cracked Tear increases the player’s consecutive attack damage by 20%, the Rotten Winged Insignia Talisman boosts it by up to 13%, and finally, Millicent’s Prosthesis boosts it by 11% while adding 5 bonus points to Dexterity. The combination of these gives players an attack damage boost of up to 44%, which is not bad at all.

Then, talking about faith, it is recommended players focus on it a little bit so they can use a couple of incantations in order to boost their attack damage even further. In incantations called Golden Vow and Flame, which grant players strength, one of them gives players a 15% damage boost and 10% damage negation, while the other later gives players a 20% physical and fire damage boost.

If one follows the above-mentioned tips to the letter, they will find themselves dominating every enemy in this game with ease. Dexterity is a stat that allows players to boost their attack speed and use slashing weapons.
