Similar to Spider-Man Remastered, Will There Be a Stan Lee Easter Egg in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?

Spider-Man 2 is the hottest topic in gaming right now. Swinging into the 90s on Metacritic, it is already living up to the hype. And while Spider-Man (2018), the game that kicked off the franchise on the ps4 fell short of the 90 mark, it was still a brilliant game. One of the things players loved about the game was its easter eggs. Daredevil, Black Panther, Jessica Jones, Dr Strange are just a few of the many characters referenced in the game. But the most memorable easter egg, which was actually a cameo, was from none other than the legend who created the character.

Spider-Man 2 is, after all, a Marvel game. And Marvel always finds a way to pay tribute to the late, legendary Stan Lee. In the Insomniac Games story, not only did Stan Lee cameo in the first game but also had an easter egg in Spider-Man: Miles Morales. And fans cannot help but wonder if Spider-Man 2 will follow the trend.

Would Spider-Man 2 follow its predecessor and have a Stan Lee cameo?

Stan Lee remains the most beloved figure in Marvel, even after his passing in late 2018. Such is his legacy. After all, he did create some of the most iconic marvel characters, one of the most popular ones being the wall crawler. And the legend has a long list of Spider-Man cameos,  starting from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies.

In the 2018 ps4 Spider-Man, he meets and greets Peter Parker and Mary Jane as they are exiting a restaurant and even compliments the two. While it was a heartfelt cameo, it was also one of his last. Since then, however, there have been tributes. And now, fans are asking one question: will there be an easter egg/tribute in Spider-Man 2? There’s no reason for Insomniac to not make this happen.

The question is, how and where? That is the question for all the secret hunters out there who are so good at digging stuff up from games. If there is an easter egg, it will only be a matter of time before fans find it.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales easter egg

Insomniac Games does not shy away from doing funky stuff with their games. Everyone remembers Sunset Overdrive; hence, it’s no surprise that when they looked for Stand Lee in Miles Morales, he was there. They literally created a statue of Stan Lee and allowed players to visit him and pay their respects. This gave them a trophy too, called “Best Fries in Town.”

And there’s no doubt fans would see something similar in Wolverine too. After all, the legendary Stan Lee created the X Men along with jack Kirby. Through Marvel content, Stan Lee’s legacy will live on.
