Will the new Atlus game be even better than Shin Megami Tensei and Persona?
Shinjiro Takada, as reported by ComicBook, recently opened up about what he is up to next, and mentioned his studio will accomplish the goal in the coming year. However, he didn’t reveal the exact game or franchise his team is working on at the moment. But he hoped “to release a title to the world that will become a pillar for Atlus.”
Furthermore, the Shin Megami Tensei maker also added that the new game will be “satisfying for everyone.” Well, that’s pretty much everything that Takada revealed, at least for now. But the way he describes the upcoming project, it seems to be a completely fresh IP for sure.
Since he has called the next game to be a “pillar” for Atlus, it will be interesting to witness the game when it eventually arrives. Because so far, Persona and Shin Megami Tensei are the benchmark franchises from the Japanese developer.

When it comes to making speculations, then Shinjiro might be referring to a game that was first leaked in 2016. In case if you missed it, there was an IP named Project Re, which was supposed to be a fantasy RPG. Unfortunately, Atlus didn’t come up with anything on this leaked title for a long time. Now, it may appear again, and might eventually be the “pillar” that the developer described.
What are your thoughts on the newly teased 2022 game from the team of Shin Megami Tensei and Persona?
