When Valorant was first released, the idea of agents stunned the world. Since most of the player base came from a similar FPS shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the gameplay took some time to get used to. However, agents are a staple part of gameplay now, with players developing unique playstyles and delivering incredible performances. With a roster of 21 agents in the game, number 22 will be coming soon.
Valorant pros at Masters Tokyo got a sneak peek at the new agent coming to the game soon. While the video did not show viewers anything about the agent, there are a few hints dropped.

A new agent was in the works for a while. Leakers worked round the clock to gain any new information about it. With the pros reaction video, fans on Twitter began to piece together hints about what the agent could be.
It did not take long for pros to figure out the new agent will be in the Sentinel class. In the preview, they saw she is seen placing traps in places. Moreover, when asked about how she seemed, the pros thought she looked pissed as if she is on a mission. Based on her abilities, pros gauged she seems like an active Sentinel, helping teammates take over sites. They also revealed she has a lot of traps, alongside being able to control the map well.
One pro speculated she may be able to limit Killjoy’s impact on the round. This will be welcomed by the pro scene, especially since Killjoy is perceived to be slightly overpowered in the current meta.
Leaks reveal new agent’s name
Amidst this news, one Valorant leaker revealed the new agent’s name. While initial reports said it would be Cable, that turned out to be a placeholder title. The actual name for this new agent is Deadlock. It sounds fitting, given that she is supposed to be a Sentinel-class agent. Deadlock also has a bear alongside her.
