ShahZam received the news of a new development that took place in Sentinels while he was streaming

With numerous rumors and announcements regarding roster changes, the world of Valorant is currently witnessing many developments for the 2023 VCT seasons. Talking of the North American organization Sentinels, they have recently welcomed SyykoNT and Kaplan as the head coach and strategic coach. Thus, releasing Rawkus from his former position as head coach.

Another news regarding a reshuffle of the Sentinels’ roster surfaced. As reported by the organization Dot Esports, “Both in-game leader Rory “Dephh” Jackson and superstar Zachary “zekken” Patrone will join Sentinels.” Chiefly, ShahZam had been the in-game leader for the Sentinels Valorant roster. But this new change got the community suspecting the departure of ShahZam from the roster.

Recently, ValorIntel (@ValorINTEL) tweeted, “ShahZaM found out that he’s no longer apart of Sentinels while he was streaming.” In the clip attached to the tweet, ShahZam said, “Well, guys, it looks like an article just came out…do you want to know the best part? I just found out with you, guys.” Furthermore, he said, “Three years on the team, and I find out like this.”

Both the parties have voiced their opinions on the situation in front of the Valorant community

Seemingly, the veteran was unaware of the development until he saw the article. Consequently, Rob Moore, CEO of Sentinels, displayed his views on the development. He said, “I want to clarify the situation with @ShahZaMk , on 9/21 I reminded him he did not have a contract for next season, we were most likely bringing in new coaches, they would decide the new roster and he was free to contact other teams.”

He concluded by saying that ShahZam had a long discussion with the team’s coaches. And further told that no contract was offered to him. Furthermore, he said, “before we had signed new players George Geddes leaked roster moves while shahz was on stream, that was not an announcement from the team, the timing was unfortunate but certainly not a surprise.”

To this Twitter thread, ShahZam replied that he had contacted Rob privately. However, he seemed disappointed by the “lack of comms” from his team. But voiced that he respected the choice that they made. Thus, he confessed that “the timing of the leak, along with being in the dark, created the emotional response you saw on stream.”
