Selena Gomez Was Once Left Stunned By Xbox Live’s Features

Technology has been growing over the past few years. There are so many ways developed now to make our lives easier. It would almost feel like magic to our ancestors if they decided to come back now. The same was the case for Selena Gomez back in 2013. Back then she was first got introduced to Xbox Live’s services.

Volunteering for a special event, Gomez had her first-hand experience of using Xbox and that was totally amusing to her. She even said that Xbox helped her make some great connections to her Mexican heritage.

In her interview with Xbox for the UNICEF event that she did back in 2013, she explained how the console had helped her make some great advancements in life. According to her, the console made her search for new artists way easier than before. She even said that it gave her the chance to watch shows and learn about her Mexican heritage using the Live TV services that Xbox provided.

“I love being in complete, direct contact with my fans. And what I found with Xbox Live is that I don’t really know a lot of artists that people talk about, I just kept speaking to my Xbox and it pulled up all the information about an artist that I wanted to know about and music videos and their songs,” Gomez said. “I could just play it instantly. That’s freaking out a little bit. I love it. It was super easy.”

Thus it was clear that Selena Gomez had some really amusing as well as amazing times with the console and its features.

Xbox helping Selena to connect to her heritage

She then talked about the ways Xbox helped her give tribute to her Mexican heritage. Gomez mentioned, “It’s also a nice kind of tribute to that part of my heritage that I am really proud of. Xbox can have the app that you can completely go to all of those Spanish markets that TV shows Univision and know that it makes my Mexican culture proud.”

Gomez also mentioned the Live feature, as she figured out later, was also able to play most of her favorite TV shows and other media interestingly. During that time, it was a brand new piece of technology to be able to surf the internet using a console in your hands. Thus she said, “What I learned beyond what Xbox can do with just gaming is that you can actually see movies, TV shows, music, sports. It’s everything instantly at your fingertips.”
