Sonic Frontiers was developed by SEGA and debuted in November of 2022 on Nintendo’s Switch. Within days of its release, this action-adventure game automatically received many positive compliments from the fans. Sonic Frontiers’ craze is quite evident looking at the game’s astounding sales statistics.
Recently, Nintendo’s official Twitter announced that this game even broke the expectation of the company president- “Sonic Frontiers sold more than SEGA anticipated, says company president.” Nintendo confirmed that after its release, Sonic Frontiers sold almost over 3.5 million copies of the game to date. Publishers confirmed the game to be a huge hit.

In an interview with Famitsu magazine, SEGA’s president Yukio Sugino discussed Sonic frontiers in detail. He confirmed how this game brought more than expected revenue for the company. Following the news, Sugino also spoke about receiving appraisals from North American Sonic fans. For the team, this approval meant a path forward to global players.
