However, it’s not just films and comics where Deadpool shines, but video games as well. In fact, there already exists a title based on the character. Interestingly, Ryan Reynolds once got an opportunity to play it but couldn’t do much. However, he was shocked to see another famous Marvel icon’s appearance in this game, who is soon going to make his debut in the MCU. Yes, we are talking about Wolverine!

In case anyone is not aware of the title, the Deadpool game was initially launched almost a decade ago in 2013. Developed by High Moon Studios and published by Activision, it was released for PC, PS3, and Xbox One. The story follows the journey of Wade Wilson, aka the antihero, who joins forces with the X-Men and Cable to stop Mister Sinister.

Just like the character in the comics, the game also had self-referential humor, coming from Deadpool, combined with a lot of jokes and numerous fourth wall breaks. It’s exactly similar to how Ryan Reynolds has portrayed him in the movies. In fact, he ended up playing this game during an interaction with YouTuber jacksepticeye, in 2018, while promoting Deadpool 2.

As one can see, Ryan Reynolds is stunned to see his beloved character inside a video game. The YouTuber initially asks him to try it out himself and he agrees. Sadly, the actor’s gaming skills prove to be too weak as he clearly struggles to make progress.

But one thing that really shocks him towards the end of the video is Wolverine’s appearance. While he was awestruck to witness Logan, the YouTuber told him that they skipped the part when he could actually beat the clawed superhero as much as he liked. Unfortunately, Ryan Reynolds didn’t get the chance to do that.

All things considered, the actor thoroughly enjoyed this session, especially the part where he saw Wolverine alongside Deadpool. This might be a great throwback story, but soon it will become a reality. Thanks to the major announcement from the actor himself, Ryan will join forces with Hugh Jackman‘s Logan in the upcoming Deadpool film. It will be the first MCU crossover project for these two Hollywood stars.
