Nintendo keeps releasing a bunch of innovative titles for Nintendo Switch. The console maker and developer is also known for putting its mascot Super Mario into various games of different genres such as sports, horror, puzzle, and of course, platformers. Fans have seen Mario defeat all kinds of monsters in all types of games over the years.
And pretty much all kinds of spin-offs have been successful enough to justify numerous sequels. And now, Nintendo appears to be working on one more special Mario game!
Nintendo and Namco are working on a Super Mario Baseball game!

Super Mario and his friends have done everything! From participating in world-shaking fighting tournaments to competing in golf tournaments and to even playing tennis and making their appearance as participants in the Olympics. However, best of all, they have been seen playing party games with each other in Mario Party titles.
But one thing that the fans haven’t seen this jumpy plumber do much of is playing baseball often. No doubt he can play it, as proved in Mario Super Sluggers for Wii in 2008. But that was the last standalone Mario baseball game. With Nintendo Switch getting pretty much all kinds of Mario spin-offs, it appears Nintendo wants to make baseball happen too.

And this brings us to a very recent rumor, which says Nintendo is currently in the process of developing a Mario Baseball title for Switch. And Nintendo is not doing this alone, as it is said to be developing this game with Namco.
Namco is no stranger to working on Nintendo IPs. They previously worked on games like Pokken Tournament and Super Smash Bros for Nintendo. Hence proving their prowess and familiarity with the best of Nintendo’s franchises.

According to popular Nintendo leaker Zippo, the game has been in development for a while. And he has also hinted at the existence of Wario in this upcoming game’s roster of playable characters. Seems like an exciting prospect for sure.
Namco is planning a lot more for 2023
Bandai Namco works for Nintendo as a third-party developer for console holders. Namco also has a number of its own games that it is planning for this year. The biggest of them is a huge DLC for Game of the year 2022 Elden Ring.

Fans of that game are eagerly waiting to see what the developers From Software and publisher Namco have in mind for them. Numerous rumors suggest whatever that might be, it would be worth the wait!
