Rumors Reveal a Vital Detail About Assassin’s Creed Codename Red’s Protagonist

Assassin’s Creed fans are eagerly waiting for the franchise’s upcoming development Codename Red. This is also because, with this new installment, Ubisoft‘s this franchise will debut its story in Japan. Following this news, many rumors and leaks are brewing in the media. Fans seemed excited to know whether the Assassin’s Creed team would focus on Japanese history in this new development. 

Although there haven’t been many details about it, leaks suggest that developers will probably focus on a black samurai for their upcoming Assassin’s Creed game. With a new protagonist hitting the game plot, fans can’t keep calm until they get to experience this new title in the franchise. 

A black samurai protagonist in New Assassin’s Creed?

Yasuke was the first warrior of African lineage to receive samurai status in Japan. Now Ubisoft will reportedly focus on Yasuke while developing the protagonist for Codename Red.

It is definitely popular that the Assassin’s Creed team had always prioritized the historical accuracy of their gameplay. Apart from delving into the political realms of Rome, Greece, and Egypt, their new destination in Japan will likely offer the journey of samurais as assassins. Yasuke’s presence as the protagonist can offer diversity to the title looking at the huge fan base of the franchise. However, Ubisoft has yet to announce anything officially for the fans.

Assassin’s Creed fans seemed excited with this leak suggesting a brand-new protagonist for Codename Red. Since this game will be the one in the franchise to follow similar RPG techniques, players are anxious and excited to know about the game in detail. Fans praised the team’s decision to bring Japan’s real historical figure Yasuke in their next game plot- “Yasuke is a real historical figure, there’s also an anime series on netflix, this should be cool…”
