Transformers games are hardly in the news lately. Games based on this IP are released every few months, only for people to forget them soon after. Someone desperately needed to do something different with this IP. A new movie was launched recently that got some rave reviews and a positive reaction from fans. This was followed by news of a game from Splash Damage, a British video game developer that usually works as a secondary developer for big games.

Splash Damage is mostly known for developing multiplayer modes for some popular games such as Batman: Arkham Origins, Gears of War 4, Gears 5, etc. This company sure knows how to develop multiplayer games. And that’s why it did not come as a surprise when they announced a multiplayer-only Transformers game.

Transformers: Reactivate looks good enough visually. Gameplay-wise, this title does not have any shortage of high-octane action. But there’s not much information available about the game as of yet.

However, a recent rumor has revealed that this game will introduce completely new factions to the world of Transformers. A very reliable leaker by the name of DPZLuna recently revealed online that Maximals and Predacons are in the game alongside the Autobots and Decepticons. This makes sense too, given the fact that a multiplayer game basically requires more than one and sometimes even more than two factions to duke it out against each other.
