PlayStation is still a pioneer in the gaming industry. The launch of PlayStation 5 and the state-of-the-art PSVR2 were major disruptions in the gaming world. What sets Sony apart from its competition, however, is its willingness to expand to other domains. The Japanese company made this evident when it gave its crown gems, The Last of Us and Uncharted, live-action adaptations of their own.

Following the success of these live-action adaptations, new rumors suggest PlayStation is now entering the world of anime. If the rumors are to be believed, not one but multiple titles from the Japanese company will be getting their own anime shows.

These rumors began when the Head of PS Productions Asad Qizilbash subtly hinted about the upcoming titles. In the official PlayStation Podcast, he talked about how they are developing ten upcoming projects, which will probably also include some animated titles. To add fuel to the fire, a reliable anime leaker account confirmed the involvement of the Japanese company in a few anime projects.

This sparked a debate among fans who were pondering about which PS game would be lucky enough for an anime project. Fans were guessing Gravity Rush, Ratchet & Clank, or Bloodborne to get an anime adaptation.

Fans are desperately waiting for news about the title and will have to wait for some more time to know. Meanwhile, it will be safe to assume the new PlayStation title will be arriving on Sony’s own, Crunchyroll. This means the rumored title will not have to wait for a studio to pick it up for distribution as Sony was all the means necessary for it.
