The rumors about Nintendo working on a next-gen Switch solidified when Nvidia fell victim to leaks. Last year, there were multiple leaks related to Nvidia, which is a leading company in the GPU race. This GPU company works very closely with Nintendo, as the Switch consoles use custom Nvidia Tegra X1 chips.

But one latest leak revealed that Nintendo is working with Nvidia’s latest Tegra239, simply called T239. Many believed this leak because this T239 chip supported NVN2, which is believed to be the successor to the NVN. For those who don’t know about NVN, it is the Application Programming Interface (API) for a Switch device.

If these leaks were true, that means the upcoming Switch would support ray tracing, which would help improve a game’s graphics. Aside from these chips, there were also rumors that the next console could have a 4K resolution. There were rumors about Dev Kits sent to many game developers.
A Dev Kit can be said as a stripped-down version of a console that is sent to developers for them to start working on games for the new console even before its release. Many believe the bugs and glitches in the latest games like Pokemon Scarlet & Violet were because they were built for this rumored next-gen console.
