Most of the time, Nintendo designs its Legend of Zelda games in such a way that fans always end up with a drastically different game from its previous installment. It’s a very rare occurrence for fans to see two similar games or direct sequels in the Zelda series. And this is why every Zelda game, no matter how old, has incredible replay value, and they hardly age.

This ageless nature of these games has led to numerous re-releases over the years. One that is still hiding from fans is The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Ever since the Nintendo Switch launched, several insiders have hinted at or straightaway leaked the existence of the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess ports. Nintendo has not given its fans even a hint about it. And now, yet another X post suggests this port is coming. Before getting deleted, what is happening?
A couple of years ago, a leaker suggested Nintendo was working on remakes or remasters for Metroid Prime as well as The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Metroid was released earlier this year, and it was an incredible remaster too. It appears, though, that Nintendo has been skipping the Wind Waker and Twilight Princess ports to not give Tears of the Kingdom any unwanted competition.

Maybe it’s time for fans to get this game. Whenever Nintendo decides to launch these ports, it will be before their new console. Then they would be able to charge a separate price for the next-gen version at a later date.
What other remakes should fans expect from Nintendo?
There’s much to be expected from Nintendo when it comes to remaking their classic games. The most obvious ones that don’t even need any leaks or rumors are none other than Metroid Prime 2 and 3. One is already on the Nintendo Switch; it would be unfair for Nintendo to give fans a taste of this excellent franchise and not give them the whole thing.

Then there’s Star Fox. There’s no Star Fox game on the Nintendo Switch as of yet; there was one on the Wii U. Fans have been wanting Nintendo to bring the Wii U one called Star Fox Zero to Switch but remove those awful motion controls. Nintendo would do this; since it is one of their largest franchises, it does not make any sense for them to keep it under wraps for so long.
