During his recent podcast episode, Nick fueled the rumors of Switch 2 being “PlayStation” like. “I don’t know if they are still going ahead with this but the plan was to have a backwards-compatible version and a non-backwards-compatible version of the Switch 2. The leaked specs of the first hybrid console

If rumors are to be believed, the business was demonstrating its new hardware with tech demos that used Unreal Engine 5, and the performance was on par with Gen 8 consoles.

The Switch 2’s hardware specifications also include 12GB RAM, DLSS 3.1, and probable ray tracing capabilities. The hardware won’t be as powerful as a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, according to the VGC source, but Nintendo is using AI upscaling to enhance the performance of their device. Besides Breadth of Wild updated, Metroid Prime 4 is also the biggest candidate for being the launch title for Switch 2.
