Ubisoft has promoted their forthcoming giant Assassin’s Creed Mirage on the nostalgic factor. The developers have emphasized the game’s focus on bringing back old gameplay features. They aren’t the only gaming giants to bank on the nostalgic tangent this year. Considering the heavy line-up ahead, it would be challenging to rely on the original RPG formula for a long. Now, inside information sparks rumors about the closure of the new format.

According to the hardcore fans of the franchise, the game has lost its charm over the years due to prioritizing large-scale bankability. The ‘OG’ Assassin’s Creed had the most classic RPG mechanics which the developers have tried to bring back in Mirage. If the rumors are to be believed, it seems like Ubisoft might have decided to cater to the fan demand.

The open-world experience was heavily criticized in most of the previous installments. Fans felt the open world rather felt empty. Although the RPG format has worked wonders for the franchise over the years, few gamers think it is high time the developers decide to move on.
