Is it possible that Sony is planning a massive show and is secretly working on it behind our back? These rumors seem quite plausible as the gaming studio has skipped both E3 and Gamescom 2021, which serve as major gaming events of summer. The studio has merely teased top-rated titles by hosting several state-of-the-play live streams over the year. These streams have unfurled titles like Ratchet and Clank, Horizon: Forbidden West, Deathloop, and so on.

Thus far, Xbox has shared details about prominent titles that are coming to the consoles during the E3 showcase. It would be only fair to assume that Sony is working on something big as rumors also point in the same direction.

Sony could host a PlayStation event in August

Rumors from the grapevine of the Internet suggest Sony is secretly planning a massive event. The studio has already revealed the highly anticipated sequel Horizon Zero: Forbidden West, but it is only the tip of the iceberg. Rumors suggest Sony’s event could take place on August 12th and it might shed light on a massive range of titles. The studio has already revealed a brand new DLC expansion for Ghost of Tsushima and it is going to release on August 20th.

The state-of-play live stream teased the next iteration of God of War that is being dubbed as ‘Ragnarök’. Sony could reveal a gameplay trailer of the title and it just might break the internet. More news from the community suggests another sequel of Miles Morales is also being developed. This makes the next month’s rumored event the perfect opportunity to reveal it.

Earlier in the year, Sony shared an interesting piece of news about the range of titles that are in development. The gaming studio revealed that it is actually working on 25 titles and about half of them are new IPs (Intellectual Properties).
