Rockstar Games has been playing around the speculations of a remastered version of Red Dead Redemption for quite some time. The social media buzz around the possible remaster caught fire a few days back. This happened after the game received new ratings in South Korea. Adding on to the fuel, a former IGN editor has made some bold predictions for the new Red Dead Redemption title. 

According to the man, the remastered version of the title has been under development for long. If the rumors are true, it might turn out to be a pleasant surprise for gaming fans. Rockstar Games unarguably are the pros of gangster action titles. However, many people thought that Rockstar Games abandoned the plan for a remake of the original Red Dead Redemption game in response to criticism of the GTA Trilogy. But contrary to the previous headlines, new speculations claim to be good news for Red Dead Redemption fans. 

Red Dead Redemption Remaster Official Announcement Could Be Imminent

The Red Dead Redemption Remaster version is almost ready and set to hit the floor in August. Colin Moriarty which the gaming community might recognize from the IGN company has straight out announced the alleged leaked date of the release. During one of the episodes of his podcast, the journalist stated that the remaster of the 2010 giant title is in work, and an official announcement could be imminent. The podcast is an exclusive for Colin’s Patreon.

He quoted, “I have seen confirmation that this is real… I had someone reach out to me behind the scenes that showed me something that definitively shows this game is coming.” He further commented, “Maybe even imminently with an announcement, maybe in August.”

The man later explained that if not the release, the makers are set to make an announcement before the end of August. Earlier the crime thriller had made headlines when its rating suddenly changed in South Korea. Although the South Korean Board clarified it was for a console game and did not mean anything else. But putting both these pieces of news together, it definitely hints at an exciting upcoming announcement by Rockstar Games.

Released in 2010, the game still remains one of the most classic action experiences ever. The title had shipped approximately over 23 million copies by the end of 2021. The game has still kept its place in the list of the top 50 best-selling games of all time.
