The anticipation for GTA VI continues to rise. Meanwhile, Rockstar Games is focused on celebrating the 10th year anniversary of GTA V, a game that launched back in September 2013. Not many games last so long; even multiplayer games are considered dead a couple of years after they have launched. GTA V, on the other hand, is still going strong. It keeps getting updates or new versions for newer platforms, and fans cannot stop playing it.

And the game’s developer, Rockstar Games, knows this. They know the kind of fanbase they have, and they are aware of its effect on GTA V’s popularity. They are aware that it’s this fanbase that is keeping this game alive. And so, they have let their fans know on Twitter how thankful they are for this support.

In their post on X, they mentioned, “Today, on the official 10th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto V, we would like to thank you, our players, for your incredible support over the years.”

It’s actually surprising how the company has come out and spoken about the game. After all the silence, they have kept on with most other things. Here’s hoping they break this silence once again, and that too very soon, to reveal their next major title, GTA 6.

While players appreciate the sentiment, they want GTA 6

GTA V and Rockstar Games fans have noticed this new post and reacted to it in their own vibrant manner. Some are happy, while others took this as a chance to ask for some information on GTA 6.

GTA V was a big step-up in the already successful franchise. With 3 protagonists, seamless character switching, and each character having their own mission, the game delivered in a huge way. And fans are grateful for this timeless game.

With the latest consoles bringing remastered versions of some of the biggest titles, this user is hoping for the same with GTA V.

While the GTA community is deeply appreciative of the game, they feel it’s about time there’s word about GTA 6.

10 years after the release of GTA V, the wait for GTA 6 continues.
