Capcom did something unthinkable with Resident Evil Village fans last week. The studio released a demo of the game on the PlayStation Store, but the demo was available for only eight hours. Plainly said, this was a careless move by the studio. Players all around the world are waiting for the game to drop later this year. Therefore, the demand for the demo was inevitably going to be high.
Despite that, an eight-hour margin to play a demo is very thoughtless of Capcom. Many fans could not even get their hands on the demo, let alone play it. People all over the world, in different time zones, could not gather the time to play the game in that limited margin.
Furthermore, people with jobs complained the demo should have been made available for at least 24 hours. Shortly after, Capcom decided to release another demo and this time with a 24 hours margin. However, the outcry from the fans has led Capcom to change the time limit again. In a statement on its Twitter, Resident Evil seems to have listened to their fans.

Fans across the globe can now enjoy the demo for a week on multiple platforms, unlike the last time when it was only available on PlayStation. Players can play the demo on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Stadia, and Steam.
Resident Evil Village demo time also increased
Another complaint that fans had against the last demo was how short it was. Players could only play it for 30 minutes. This meant players hardly had any time to explore the new environment. Some players commented on Reddit that they could hardly play 10 minutes of the demo because before they knew it, the counter was up.

This problem has also been addressed by Capcom in the next demo that they are releasing soon. Instead of 30 minutes, the demo will go on for a full hour and that should be enough time for fans to decipher what they can expect out of the new title.
Furthermore, the new announcement does not mention any Asian timings, and therefore it unknown if the demo extension applies to the region.
