Capcom took the stage at the Tokyo Game Show and revealed some exciting information about Resident Evil 4 Remake Separate Ways DLC. During the showcase, they announced that the Separate Ways DLC is out as of September 21, 2023. While the DLC is out to play on most platforms, Capcom revealed their plans to release the game for more devices.
The Separate Ways DLC has been launched for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox Series X, and S. That being said, Capcom also announced their plans to release the game on a device that shocked the fans.
Resident Evil 4 Remake to come to Mac and VR

Capcom announced that the Resident Evil 4 Remake is in development for the Macs featuring Apple Silicon. The devs proceeded to announce that they would release the game on iPad Air and iPad Pro using the M1 chip later in 2023, aiming to broaden the game’s accessibility to a wider range of players. They also revealed plans to make the Separate Ways DLC and free updates available on Mac devices.
Another direction that Capcom is looking at for the Resident Evil 4 Remake is VR. The game’s successful release on PlayStation 5 has pushed the developers to consider bringing it to PSVR. This feature has also been dropped on the day of the Separate Ways DLC. During the announcement, they stated that Resident Evil 8 would be released before the RE 4 Remake. This suggests that Capcom is actively expanding its portfolio of mobile gaming titles.

While release dates for the Mac versions of the game have not been announced, players can expect to wait until the end of the year for the Apple releases and until next year for the other.
The Mercenaries makes a comeback to the Resident Evil 4 Remake
Capcom has released Resident Evil 4: The Mercenaries as a free update to the game. The Mercenaries is an arcade-style mode challenging players to defeat as many enemies as they can within a set time frame. In this mode, players get to play as Ada Wong and Albert Wesker among some other popular Resident Evil characters. Capcom stated that this DLC will be free for players who already own a copy of the game.

In order to promote the DLC further, Capcom is slashing prices and putting the games on sale. The new price point and content are to push new players to purchase Resident Evil 4 Remake.
