Capcom recently shared a report including information about the company’s financials and profit margins. Along with the financial figures for the years 2023-2024, there are also details about how successful their games have been over the last few months. Games like Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil 4 Remake have not even been around for a year. And yet Capcom has managed to sell 2.5 million copies of Street Fighter 6 and 5.5 million copies of the Resident Evil 4 Remake.

In the report, Capcom also displayed that Resident Evil sold 150 million units worldwide. Recently, Resident Evil 4 reinforced its legacy by releasing the Separate Ways DLC on September 21.
Meanwhile, Street Fighter 6 further enriched the world of this iconic fighting game franchise by introducing “A.K.I.” on September 27, contributing to its total sales of 52 million units.
The Monster Hunter series, which celebrated its 20th anniversary, hinted at a special project. With an impressive 95 million units sold, it undeniably enjoys a massive and dedicated fan base. The Capcom classic, Mega Man, maintains its strength with 41 million units sold, while Dragon’s Dogma has amassed a dedicated fan base of 7.9 million units. The stylish action-adventure series Devil May Cry has achieved sales of 30 million units so far, reaffirming its position in the action game genre. These figures exemplify the enduring impact of Capcom’s major IPs in the gaming world.
Separate Ways DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake
The Separate Ways DLC pushed the success of Resident Evil 4 Remake further by expanding on the story and giving players more content to enjoy for the Halloween season. The gameplay in Separate Ways closely resembles the base campaign of Resident Evil 4. Players assume the role of Ada Wong, exploring new areas on the Island, searching for treasures, and battling terrifying creatures. While there are some new weapons and a grappling hook for added variety, the DLC maintains the beloved core gameplay of the original.

What sets the DLC apart is its extra hours of content and polished storylines. Capcom has transformed this DLC, which was originally a 90-minute bonus, into a full-fledged campaign.
