Some just love tackling pretty much every challenge a game throws at them. The same could be said in the case of Resident Evil 4, but it appears that the developers of this remake have decided to give them a not-so-easy time!

A platinum trophy is like a medal for a PlayStation fan. When one decides to give a game their full attention and dedicate most of their free time towards it, that’s when they get rewarded with platinum.

The same was the case with Bloodborne, similar was the case with Elden Ring, and it’s even more evident in the case of the Resident Evil 4 Remake. Moreover, this game launched recently with a plethora of visual and gameplay improvements; the developers have even added a bunch of new story elements to this game.

So, it would be only fitting if they decided to give their fans a little more challenge with this game. And they did exactly that! According to the Powerpyx rating, Resident Evil 4 Platinum holds a difficulty rating of 7/10. This means this game’s platinum trophy is one of the hardest on this platform. And given the requirements provided to achieve this, it is definitely going to break some consoles. In order to grab the platinum, players must:

  • Get all the collectibles, which include completing merchant quests.
  • Complete New Game Plus with only a pistol and a knife, without even talking to the merchant.
  • Finish the new game on professional difficulty in less than 7 hours.
  • Complete the new game on professional difficulty without using any special weapons.
  • Get the S rank at completion.
  • Get an S+ rank at completion.
  • Complete Professional New Game
  • Complete the game on Professional difficulty with at least an A rating.

This definitely seems like a tall order for fans who just play games for fun. They may try to collect all collectibles, but some of these things are, to put it mildly, punishing. It has to be seen who braves this list and ends up with a resident Evil 4 Platinum in their account.
