In fact, some of the most famous names from the entertainment industry have recently expressed their obsession with the best modern-day AAA titles. Star Wars movie director Rian Johnson is the latest figure in this ever-growing list, who recently revealed his extreme passion for PS5 exclusive God of War Ragnarok.

It seems like the Knives Out and Star Wars filmmaker is an avid gamer as well, apart from being a cinema lover. While interacting with a media outlet, Rian Johnson expressed his deep interest for the newly released PlayStation 5 blockbuster God of War Ragnarok.

The filmmaker recently talked to IGN, to promote his new project Glass Onion. Interestingly, when asked about video games, he had a lot of stuff to share. He mentioned about his interest for some of the most iconic titles, like Rockstar’s GTA 5 and even Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In his spare time, these are the games he really likes to enjoy.

However, the Star Wars: The Last Jedi director also had another game in his mind which he is yet to begin. And it’s none other than Santa Monica Studio‘s recent blockbuster God of War Ragnarok. “I just downloaded the new God of War. I am really excited to dig into it. I haven’t started it yet. But I have it sitting on my PlayStation at home, very excited about that,” he told IGN.

While he’s yet to start his journey in God of War Ragnarok, it’s obvious to expect that he will have a great time playing this PS5 exclusive from Sony. The fever of this phenomenal IP is seriously spreading across the globe like wildfire.

Santa Monica’s offering is also in the race to be the Game of the Year in next month’s The Game Awards event. Although it’s getting tough competition from FromSoftware’s Elden Ring, all the God of War fans are hoping for it to win the ultimate crown.
