The most anticipated video game of the year, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, is slated to release on October 28. Fans have been waiting for more information regarding the game’s mechanics. To end some of the wait, a reliable insider has revealed a possible window for Modern Warfare II’s Multiplayer Reveal.
Although the release date of MWII is drawing closer, Activision and Raven Software seem to have no plans of announcing the exact date for open beta just yet! According to speculations, the open beta will happen sometime in mid-to late-September. Furthermore, fans have pointed out that an open beta period just a month before the game’s release may not be enough for Raven Software to fix reported issues.

Then again, Activision has always followed the trend to reveal features under a tight schedule. As the insider pointed out, Activision has favored early September for a multiplayer reveal for the past couple of years. Fans can decipher the same from Black Ops Cold War’s and Vanguard’s timelines.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare II’s multiplayer reveal?
According to Activision’s trend, the multiplayer reveal for MWII may happen in early September. Moreover, Tom Henderson’s sources have confirmed the same. So, fans can expect the multiplayer reveal to drop weeks before the game’s open beta starts.

Tom Henderson also mentioned that the Multiplayer Reveal session may include a gameplay livestream and some developer interviews. Although the leak comes from a reliable source, fans may want to avoid taking it seriously because it still lacks the official nod.
To be clear – The MP reveal has been scheduled for September for months and there has been no change/delay… Just as the reveal of the game was always intended for June.

Modern Warfare II received its first gameplay reveal at the Summer Game Fest, back in June. The reveal showed off the game’s beautiful environment and sound design via one of the campaign’s levels, Dark Water. Modern Warfare II’s campaign is a single-player, just like its prequel. However, Activision will also be introducing an immersive multiplayer experience, which is separate from the campaign.
Alongside titillating multiplayer and single-player campaign experiences, Modern Warfare II will also have a co-op mode, a narrative-driven Special Ops experience. As a result, Call of Duty fans can share the fun with friends in more than one way!
