According to Axios’ Stephen Totilo, the details of Xbox working on a mystery sequel were discovered in an ongoing legal challenge in which a group of self-identified gamers is trying to block Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Interestingly, it was spotted that a triple-A may take a long decade o complete and left Halo Infinite as an example. It further mentions, ” For instance, according to one Microsoft executive, [redacated], a forthcoming title from the [redacted] franchise, may take a decade to develop.”

Unfortunately, it’s not specifically disclosed if Xbox may be working on a new game or a sequel. Fans will lose their mind if it comes out in the open about Microsoft working on a new AAA game for a long decade.

Interestingly, some fans are speculating the mysterious sequel to be Elder Scroll 6. The Elder Scroll 6 was announced back in E3 2018 and now has been in the development phase for over 5 years. Therefore, it wouldn’t be surprising if Xbox may hide a few details from the community for the much-awaited game.
Furthermore, Bethesda‘s Todd Howard also said in 2021, “good to think of The Elder Scrolls 6 as still being in a design [phase]”, suggesting to fans that the Xbox exclusive is still years from the release.
