Microsoft makes billions with the Xbox Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass is already well-known for its benefits and low price range in the community; however, not many users are aware that Microsoft generates billions from Game Pass. Back in 2021, it was revealed that the Xbox Game Pass generated over $2.9 billion.

Interestingly, Xbox made up a total of $16.28 billion in the calendar year 2021. This means Game Pass made up roughly 18% of Microsoft’s total yearly Xbox revenues ($16.28 billion), and nearly 30% of its games and services revenues ($12.581 billion) for the period.

Game Pass has been more successful for Xbox than the predeceasing year. Moreover, it has seen substantial growth in the increase of subscribers thanks to its amazing marketing and low price. In addition to that, many users shifted to Xbox after the announcement of the Activision Blizzard deal.

Their actions were genuine, as Xbox would own popular Activision titles such as Bubble Witch Saga, Call of Duty, Candy Crush, Crash Bandicoot, and many more. As per reports, the number of Xbox Game Pass subscribers between August 2021 and March 2022 jumped from 15 million to 18 million.
