And now, to continue that run of popularity with this confidence, it appears they are about to announce yet another big title. It’s a game that many knew would come someday, but they never expected it to come so soon!

Square Enix might announce a Final Fantasy IX remake very soon!

Square Enix announced the Final Fantasy VII remake years ago during a PlayStation 3 showcase. It took them many years to complete that game and bring it to their fans.

The game, however, was totally worth the wait. It looked very great and had everything that one expects from a modern remake of a celebrated classic. It won praise from every direction, fans and critics. The only thing that some disliked was the fact that its story was divided into parts, and its second episode does not even have a release date.

Final Fantasy IX is a game that many series regulars consider to be underrated. It was darker than any other installment in this series; hence, has a very different fanbase too. Fans have been waiting to see a remake of the game ever since the Final Fantasy VII Remake launched.

It looks like that wish is going to finally be fulfilled. This game has been reportedly in development for years now and will soon be announced by the publisher. Some think it would be strange for Square Enix to announce this remake before completing Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode 2. And it would even be more strange if they went on to announce it before the launch of FF XVI. It would be seen by many as downplaying the launch of their latest mainline game.

Whatever might transpire, some would definitely celebrate this game’s coming. It would once again be a success, and it might end up introducing something even better than what we have seen before. Let’s see how true these reports are, though. It might be that the Japanese publisher would announce this game during the summer game fest.
