The gaming business is taking a turn for the better. Over the course of time, we were able to see dramatic changes happening in the field, which now has shaped into what we presume as AAA titles today. Games are becoming graphic heavy and the need for newer and cutting-edge equipment for running these are quite dominant.

Thus, an outcry that we have witnessed quite often in the gaming communities is the need for more advanced VRAMs. Nvidia has the answer to this, but it comes with a slight price.

The developers of gaming titles are putting in countless hours to give players a unique and well-built product. But, to experience these in full capacity, we need high-end performance systems. Thus, the market for providing such devices is quite competitive, and the top dog in this race is Nvidia. It seems that the popular techno giants are ready to roll out their 4060Ti 16 GB variant this July, but no official confirmation has been out yet. According to reports, the delay has trickled down to the factor of power.

The demand for an increased number of 16 GB chips has been echoing in the communities. Thus, to make sure this need is met, Nvidia is rolling out the RTX 4060 16 GB variant, which uses a different chip compared to the 8 GB variant. The latter uses AD 106-350, but it seems that the company has decided to venture past this already present set.

This move paved the path toward a minor increase in power consumption. The new 16 GB variant uses AD 106- 351. Which from the looks itself can be noticed as the next version of the existing chips. This minor difference causes a 5W increase in energy consumption. Though not made official, reports suggest that the memory speed as well as the CUDA core counts would remain the same for the 16 GB variant. (Though the capacity differs).

Additionally, this also points towards the GeForce RTX 4080 12 GB variant, which had drastic differences between its two models. This even pushed Nvidia to change the name to GeForce RTX 4080 Ti. But in the case of the aforementioned 16 GB variant, this likely won’t happen.
