The Nintendo Switch is on the last leg of its life cycle. Numerous recent rumors and leaks have suggested the arrival of its successor sometime next year. Those leaks and rumors have talked about the console’s specs and even the games that would be released on it at launch.

But of course, there has been no confirmation regarding this upcoming console from Nintendo. This lack of confirmation does not stop even more leaks from dropping, and the latest one seems to have come from a somewhat reliable source.

There are several ways things get leaked ahead of their launch. It can be done through some official documents. Sometimes some officials let this information slip, and sometimes someone’s uncle working at a company spreads the news.

But Nintendo’s upcoming console is getting leaked via a number of their partners. At first, one of their third-party development partners revealed the existence of this console’s development kit. And now a Chinese system-on-chip manufacturer has given some hints at this console’s launch window.

Recently, in its official financial report PixArt which made the SoC powering JoyCon sensors (And parts of the Wii/Wii U before it) indicated in a financial report that a new game console from a Japanese company they are supplying parts to will be launched in early 2024.

This is all but confirmation of the fact that Nintendo is about to launch a new console in early 2024. And the only console that is due for launch in the coming year from Nintendo is the successor to its hybrid console, the Switch. This simply means fans will soon be able to get their first look at this console.

If Nintendo has set the launch date for it for early 2024, then they are sure to reveal this console sometime in Q4 2023.

What games can be released with this upcoming console?

Alongside this console, it is expected that Nintendo will bring at least a new 3D Super Mario title. It could be anything, but our bet is on a sequel to Super Mario Odyssey.

And then there’s a next-gen version of numerous games that have been released in 2023 so far. All of them look like they could have done much better if they were released on more powerful hardware.

All this, though, is a bunch of nothing until Nintendo makes this console official. Here’s hoping that time comes soon, though!
