After a long wait, the highly anticipated Steam and Epic Store ports of Rockstar’s beloved GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition are rumored to be very near to its official release. So far, the leaks have revealed a potential release date for the Epic store release and it is speculated that the Steam port will also be available on the same day or sometime soon.
It has been clear for a while that Rockstar Games are planning for a PC remaster of some of their most popular games in the GTA franchise before they release the mythical 6th installment in the main series of games. The release date of these ports has been a mystery for a long time, but it may not be the case anymore.
GTA Trilogy’s Steam and Epic Store release date leaked?

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy–The Definitive Edition is a compilation of the remastered versions of three of the most iconic classic titles in the Grand Theft Auto series; Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Currently, the games are only available on the Rockstar Games Launcher.

For a long time, the fans have requested the developers to release a fully-fledged Steam or Epic Store port of the games. But in return, they were only treated with silence. Other than some insider rumors about a Steam and Epic Store port, there wasn’t much information about the existence of these versions.

On January 16, another insider leaked a potential release date for the Epic store release. They wrote, “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be released on Epic Games Store on January 19th at 4PM UTC,” claiming that the games will be available on the store as soon as the 19 of this month.
They also claimed that “It will be on sale too with 50% off discount during the first week.” On the other hand, the leak didn’t mention much about the steam store release, but according to the leak, the Steam store release would “probably” be on the same day as the Epic Store release.

In the end, we have to take these claims with a grain of salt as so far there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding the release which is a little concerning as many believe if the 19 January release is true then there should have been a tease or official announcement from Rockstar by now.
