And through this, they are bringing popular figures like MrBeast, Ariana Grande, and even the Marvel franchise to their fans. Let us take a look back to when Fortnite collaborated with the famous American rapper Travis Scott.

The Fortnite x Travis Scott collaboration was one of the favorites of the fans

2020 was a difficult year for everyone across the globe. The pandemic had shown its devastating form to the world, and everyone was getting affected by its difficulties. Social life was cut at its roots and entertainment outside became a luxury.

Amidst all these, a musical event garnered more than 12 million viewers. When everything became restricted and digital, the Travis Scott x Fortnite collaboration was left untouched. More so, the event cheerfully entertained the viewers in the midst of the pandemic.

On April 23 of 2020, Travis Scott performed in the fan-favorite battle royale video game. More than 12 million players became a part of this spectacle through the digital platform offered by Epic Games. More people tuned in to watch the performance through other streaming services like Twitch and YouTube.

Epic Games announced that every player who wished to be part of this digital spectacle should tune into the official servers by 6:30 PM. This gave the players the feel of being part of a real pre-booked musical event.

The Astronomical Experience went on to create a new record

As soon as the countdown hit zero, the players could see an object flying from afar. When it reached the stage, a giant Travis Scott surprised fans out of nowhere. The 10-minute performance had Travis Scott striding over the Fortnite geography.

The concert ended with a new track ‘The Scotts’, which was a collaboration with Rapper Kid Cudi. The fans were able to collect Travis Scott’s skin lines throughout the event. And moreover, the iconic flaming microphone stand.

This event received tremendous feedback from the fans. Plus, a new record was set with Travis’s collaboration overtaking the number of views of the 2019 Marshmallow concert. The latter had around 10 million viewers.
